“Creating a home that looks good is important, but home is also about feel: about relaxing; welcoming family and friends; being cosy and comfortable.”
With a history of carpet manufacturing spanning over 200 years it is no wonder that Brintons has the envied reputation of producing the highest quality carpets using the finest wools and the latest technology.
Wool is one of the most organic and renewable materials available, as once sheared, the sheep are then back roaming the fields and growing another coat – the wool from one in six British sheep ends up in a Brintons carpet, which because of its natural insulating powers will make your home feel cosy and warm and look superb.
In the 1950’s Brintons came up with the idea of combining 80% wool with 20% nylon allowing the softness of wool with the durability of nylon to give a longer lasting appearance and wear format.
Brintons are proud of their in-house design studios covering plains, tonals and some of the most intricate patterns available to you. Many of the patterns will have two or three different designs to create a different story from one room to another and in some circumstances, will also co-ordinate with the plain ranges thereby offering a fantastic colour and design story for your home.
Their success in maintaining the finest quality has earned Brintons major contracts throughout the world in some of the most prestigious homes, hotels, cruise ships, offices and airports.
We have on display in our Carpet Departments a fabulous cross-section of Brintons patterns, tonals and plains, including the iconic Brintons ‘Bell Twist’ and our experienced carpet consultants are there to offer all the advice you need in choosing the right combination of colours and designs for your home.
