Corner Sofas
A corner sofa seats more people in the same floor space as a long straight sofa, and it can mark out a sitting area in an open-plan room. Our range includes corner groups, chaise sofas and modular designs, from Stressless, ercol, Duresta, ROM, G Plan Vintage and Vogue Williams. These are the things to decide before you order.
Left or right hand facing?
Corner and chaise sofas are made in left and right hand facing versions. The side is usually described as you stand facing the sofa, so on a left hand facing sofa the corner or chaise is on your left. Not every maker uses the same convention, so check the product page or ask the showroom before you order. Plan where the corner will sit first, keeping doors, windows and radiators clear.
Corner, chaise or modular?
A corner group has two full sides that meet at the corner. A chaise sofa has one long seat for stretching out in place of a second side. Modular sofas, such as the Giorgia, Pablo and Duresta Bardot, are made up of separate sections.
Check both lengths
Corner sofas vary a great deal in size. The Stressless Fiona, for example, comes as a 4, 5 or 6 seater corner sofa, with steel, upholstered or wooden arms. Check both lengths on the product page and mark them out on the floor with tape, so you can see how much room is left to walk round.
Recliners and sofa beds
Several of our corner sofas recline at the touch of a button, including the Empoli, Torino and Spintini. If you would rather have a straight sofa that reclines, see our recliner sofas.
For a spare bed, the Brando corner sofa bed has a chaise that can go on either side and storage space, and there are more designs in our sofa beds section.
Measure the way in
Corner sofas are large, so measure the route into the room as well as the room itself: front door, hallway, stairs and any tight turns. If the sofa comes in sections, check the size of the largest one.
Delivery
Delivery times vary and are shown on each product page. Some designs, including the Ravenna, Serento and Leo, are also available as Quickship versions.
See them in person
Seat depth and the feel of the corner seat are hard to judge from a photograph. If a corner will not fit your room, see our full range of sofas.
